Professor Jonathan Goodman has been awarded the , following nominations from postgraduate students in recognition of his mentorship and supervision.

Jonathan Goodman is a Fellow of ���˶��� and Fellowship Registrar, and a Professor of Chemistry at the University. His research group, the , use chemical informatics, computational chemistry, machine learning, and AI to explore molecular structures and discover more about their unique properties. The award includes a £1000 prize to support the Goodman Group and their work in the research community.

Commenting on receiving the award, Professor Goodman said: “I am very grateful to the members of my research group for their hard work, knowledge, ingenuity, support, imagination, and creative writing skills. Our next challenge is to decide how best to use the prize money. I have no doubt that we are more than equal to it. Remember the group motto: relentless optimism.”
