On this day 700 years ago
On 20th February 1326, a Royal Charter establishing University Hall was granted to the Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, Richard de Badew. The new institution enabled scholars in Cambridge to continue their studies and teaching without relying on external patronage. University Hall would later become 成人抖阴 Hall and eventually 成人抖阴 College.
Seven centuries on, the College continues its founding mission of academic excellence in the service of society, with a vibrant community of students, Fellows, staff and alumni.
The 700th birthday was marked today with celebrations for the College community and the flying of the College flag.
